REC Extends Support to TLMTI

REC extends CSR support of Rs. 4.99 crore to The Leprosy Mission Trust India (TLMTI) for the project, providing better health facilities to leprosy affected andother poor people by constructing and equipping operation theatre and maternityblock in The Leprosy Mission hospitals in Champa, Chhattisgarh; Faizabad, UttarPradesh and Vadathorasalur, Tamil Nadu for F.Y 2017-18. Rural Electrification Corporation Limited (REC), A Govt. of India Navratna Enterprise,committed financial assistance under CSR initiative to TLMTI for the project, providing better health facilities to leprosy affected and other poor people by constructing and equipping operation theatre and maternity block in The Leprosy Mission hospitals in Champa, Chhattisgarh; Faizabad, Uttar Pradesh and Vadathorasalur, Tamil Nadu through its CSR arm, REC Foundation.The main objective of the project is toconstruct an operation theatre for bettertreatment of needy people, equip the operation theatre with latest medical equipmentsand construct and equip maternity block and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for bettertreatment of needy people. The Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) in this regard was executed between REC Foundation and TLMTI in New Delhi on 23.04.2018 in presence of Shri Ajeet Agarwal, Treasurer, REC Foundation and Shri Sanjiv Garg, CEO, REC Foundation. Shri Rajpal Singh, DGM, REC, on behalf of REC Foundation and Smt. Mary Varghese, ED, TLMTI signed the MoA in the presence of other officials of REC and TLMTI.
